After graduating from the Art Institute of Seattle in graphic design, I realized retouching was my thing. After working on images from some of Seattle's finest photographers, I finally convinced one to take me on as an assistant. Thanks Doug. That was 2001. I later learned fashion, weddings, food and architecture working for Seattle photographers. Thank you DE, JT, SVF, DB, SC and more. I had the privilege of studying portraiture with Ken Cook in his Salinas, Ca studio. I'm inspired, reminded of the experience every time I set up for a portrait.
It's always fun seeing what you can do with light and lens but for me the highlight is interacting with the client. Finding out what's important to them, what their goals are with the shoot and pulling out all stops to make that dream come true. There's voltage in that!
Atlanta's been my home for seven years now. The southeast is beautiful, the people are friendly and there's everything to do. I live close to the Silver Comet trail, a retired railroad grade that extends from Atlanta into Alabama. It's great for riding, running or walking. Meet me at mile 4.2, let's talk about your upcoming photography needs.
Thanks for visiting!!
